Texas: day 225

What an exciting culmination! Did you ever think it would come down to the wire like this? after 225 days??? I never expected so many variables to budge their little heads into my decision in such a timely fashion. this is serious. No longer can a blogaudience predicate my fate– I am being pushed to consult actual University Officials and wizened ones. And i will. And then we will all find peace and comfort in each other’s humanity.

Texas: day 221

urgent

Would you rather not graduate from Bard College even though you have already filed a FAFSA there and graduate from Texas college instead, even though it would take (1) additional summer + (1) additional semester + daily texan salary + (2) units French + (4-6) units Biology + (1) unit Texas government + [quality of life] = +4. Bard college = -(1) car – (1) apartment -(1) (miscellany) = -6.

This is a major upset in the balance. All this time I have been trying to convince myself otherwise and divert myself from the reality of today, for the sake of my intellectual growth. but as it turns out i dont care. i really dont need an “epistemological context.” So now I am counting on you for your valued opinions. U know who U R, uncle paul. Let your voice resonate through the walls of the blogosphere. i will calculate a tally of the voices and base my decision on the tally.

Texas: day 217

Dear Blog

Yesterday in The New York Times there was an article called “He’s Not My Grandpa, He’s My Dad.” Read it. There are like, two weeks of school left and after that one year and then i can FINALLY put to use my Protestant Work Ethic. God! I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting to let the PWE run wild. This weekend, however, I will challenge myself academically by writing a research paper on a man so obscure he might not even exist. It will involve extensive usage of microfiche. I am very excited.
