I used to read McSweeney’s internet tendency with frequency; I even had a small food review published on it at the age of seventeen. however, i stopped reading mcsweeney’s in the aftermath of the 2004 election, as one can only take so much buck fush before he acutally moves to texas. also they talk a lot about global warming and how it is a problem, and 4/7 people i know say global warming is a lie! some days i wake up and idk what to believe. nevertheless i have nothing against dave eggers et al, he is, after all, a hometown boy of the hometown next to mine, and a better representative of the hometown than vince vaughn, but not as quite as good as nick carraway, who is fictional. everything evens out in the end. anyway, i always liked reading the “mcsweeney’s recommends” section, because it was funny and usually spot-on in recommmending affordable and quality items, ideas, and processes. therefore, in emulation of the more halcyon days of my relationship with the online daily, i will today make a recommendation for you my dear readers and that recommendation is: listening to music in the shower. a few weeks ago my grandma gave me some tender to buy a chair or an ottoman for my apt but instead i bought ipod speaker orb which i can move easily from place to place in my apt since my apt is only one room. when i take showers i put it in the bathroom (far away from any h20) and listen to music while showering. it’s fun! and that is my recommendation for today. my recommendation for tomorrow is the heirloom apple.
