Winter Break: day 23

The art of socialization. I am not naturally a socialite but with some elbow grease and chapstick one can easily click her heels into the more obscure echelons of our society. such has been the trend of this here winter break as i stayed awake past midnight for three nights in a row not to drink hot water and read the new york times online education supplement but to go clubbing with my dear cousin. through clubbing i did not learn much about the world but i did learn that i have an uncanny ability for attracting inordinately strange men from places like australia and the bushes behind shake shack in madison square park. i already knew about this ability from experiences at the whole foods salad bar in austin tex and the Web site craigslist.org, but it was fun to have it reiterated in a fancy environment where real-live celebrities and power players sometimes eat and drink and listen to songs. you can really learn a lot about yourself through clubbing, as long as you pull a tom wolfe and wear something weird and abstain from alcohol. it sounds difficult but it’s worth it. my clubbing days are over now because i have a strong head cold but they were fun while they lasted.
