Well, still in athens, Georgia. In athens, georgia there is a tree that owns itself, but instead of going to see the tree i read about it on wikipedia which seemed like a good way to be green and preserve my energy rather than wasting energy walking around in the sutthern heat. oh wait — humans are supposed to move a lot to expel energy to keep their hearts fit. it’s apartments and cars that supposed to conserve energy by not moving. life is so confusing!
curiously, athens is home some finer points of culture, such as a handful of tropically colored houses, a food co-op with rotten bananas (that is just a fact, it should not reflect poorly on the food co-op which was perfectly quaint and offered some exciting exotic granola bars), one street that looks like europe and a wig shop. it’s not quite mobile, alabama, which is the city of the future (just you wait!), but it has its talking points, most of which i have expressed in the above paragraphs.
