I think this is not such a bad idea. A good alternative to same-sex marriage.
So I went to Fire Island last weekend for the annual Morning News retreat and wow, what a place. It has everything: sand, cattails, bikes, rollicking deer, sassy Long Islanders, tuff cops. Plus I really, really like islands where you can stand in the middle and see both coasts — total dealmaker. Maybe I won’t move to Florida after all.
Also: if you’re in the NY area (no NJ please) help Veronica break her lock!
